Dahlia Consulting was founded by Jay Hilalen, following years of providing executive, operational and business support to organisations and senior leaders across a range of sectors.

Jay’s background spans Executive Assistance, Office Management, Operations and Project Support, working closely with directors and senior executives in fast-paced businesses, including within financial and professional services. Her experience has covered everything from managing complex international diaries, travel and executive administration, to business operations, finance administration, payroll, HR support, onboarding and vetting, project coordination, events and process improvement.

She has managed teams, supported senior stakeholders, coordinated projects and helped businesses introduce better systems and processes, as well as handling the countless day-to-day tasks that simply need someone experienced to take ownership of them.

After spending rather a long time working with clients while regularly saying, “I really need to launch my business properly,” the opportunity finally presented itself, and Dahlia Consulting was born.

The business is built around the type of work Jay does best, being handed a problem, project or seemingly impossible to-do list, and being trusted to take ownership, find a solution and get it done.

And the name? That’s considerably less corporate.

Outside work, Jay’s hobby is growing dahlias, so when it came to choosing a name, there was really only one contender.
